The “Honoring Our Fathers” Awards and Fundraising Breakfast is the signature annual event of the Atlanta Metro Chapter of the Morehouse College Alumni Association.
The 2016 “Honoring Our Fathers” will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016, (the day before Father’s Day), at The Commerce Club in downtown Atlanta.

Our Purpose
The purpose of “Honoring Our Fathers” is two-fold:
To recognize the outstanding work done by fathers, mentors, and father figures in the Atlanta area;
And to financially support Morehouse Students via the Atlanta Alumni Chapter’s “Filling the Gap Fund” Scholarship.
2016 Featured Honoree
Mentorship Award – Dr. Glenn Toby
The 2016 Marvin C. Mangham, Sr. Mentorship Award recipient is Dr. Glenn Toby, a noted entrepreneur and philanthropist. Dr. Toby founded the Book Bank Foundation (BBF, a literacy-based organization geared towards inner-city youth. The BBF has directly aided hundreds of thousands of people in need through clothing distribution, medical supervision and counseling.

All proceeds from “Honoring Our Fathers” go toward the Atlanta Alumni Chapter’s “Filling the Gap Fund”, which provides emergency assistance to Morehouse students so that they can meet their financial commitment to Morehouse College. Contributions are tax-deductible.
